WE NEED RELIEF-WE NEED CHANGE-WE NEED IT NOW

The American people are now facing two major crisis. FIRST, concerns the civil unrest overseas that’s momentarily interrupted the flow of crude, or so they say, nevertheless we are now paying a higher a premium at the pumps. These higher prices will certainly put a strain on our ability to pay for those things, that is necessary to carry on with our daily lives. Because of our governments leadership, or lack of , has certainly increased our stress and our frustration. Some times I wonder if raising prices, was just a ploy, so the oil companies, WHO ARE NOW MAKING RECORD PROFITS, and the people of means, can pick the pockets of the American people; you know the old saying, SO THE HAVES CAN HAVE MORE. SECOND, concerns our Government, that’s BORROWED and SPENT FAR BEYOND THEIR MEANS, that jeopardizes the very future of our children, and our children’s children. Now, they’re claiming it’s crucial that we cut spending on all: Federal, State, and Local levels, and by doing so will, most assuredly, make matters worse; although they’re things that you and I can do, that will help ease some of the pain. I know a large percentage of you are frustrated with our Government, and rightly so, you dislike politics and politicians, so you no longer vote, nor do you intend to, or maybe you feel your vote doesn’t really matter. Now I say, HANG ON TO YOUR HATS, I intend to: JUMP-START your DEAD BATTERY, put FUEL in your TANK, and get you BACK onto the HIGHWAY, called INVOLVEMENT; and by all means, don’t ever think you are facing this crisis alone, because they’re MILLIONS upon MILLIONS like you all across America, so PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DON’T SQUANDER this, one-in-a-life-time, opportunity. It’s an absolute must, that we eliminate the loopholes in our Government, so they can no longer use them for their own: POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS, and PERSONAL GAIN and It’s IMPARATIVE THAT WE HOLD TRUE TO OUR BELIEFS and STAY THE COARE, while establishing the kind of Government that was intended to SAFEGUARD the AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE; then we can proudly say, I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN, and our GOVERNMENT, is TRULY A GOVERNMENT: “Of the People, By the People, For the People”, like it was intended to be sense 1776, and that’s exactly, what I intend to fight for, COME HELL OR HIGH WATER.

I honestly believe, the CONSTITUTION of the United States must be taught and graded, in every school, including both male and female along with everyone in between, as part of that school’s curriculum.

IT IS THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO ALTER OR ABOLISH IT AND TO INSTITUTE NEW GOVERNMENT

MY AGENDA IS:

* To change our two party system to an Unicameral Governing Body.

* To eliminate the Senate, by combining the Senate with the House, both Federal and State.

* While keeping the title of the House, at the same time reduce the House in numbers, calling the chamber: “The Maine State House of Representatives”, the Federal: “The United States House of Representatives”, as you read these titles you will realize, the wording speaks for themselves.

* To do away with the electoral college, altogether.

* To return to the concept, one person, one vote.

* To stop the abuse of Medicaid and Medicare, while at the same time, stop Governments interference.

* To demand , the United States pay back the money, they have TAKEN from Social Security, that has never been replaced and convey to them, this message, “LEAVE IT TO HELL ALONE”.

* Learn about WHO, and HOW, some are padding their wages so they can receive those, OVER-BLOWN, Social Security Checks.

A UNICAMERAL GOVERNMENT CAN WORK, IN ITSELF, PROBLEMS SHOW UP, WHEN PEOPLE CLOUD THEIR VISION WITH THEIR OWN: POLITICAL, RELGIOUS AND PERSONAL AGENDERS AND NOT ON THE MERRITS OF WHAT AN UNICAMERAL GOVERNMENT CAN BE.

According to: Answers:com, here are some of those reasons why a Unicameral Government can work:

* There is no reason for people to vote for two representatives, to two separate houses, both on the basis of population and return to the concept of “one person, one vote”;

* The Unicameral form of Government will simplify bill passage. The process is more direct since the conference committee would be eliminated, and bills would be facing closer scrutiny by legislators and the public; Gene, If our government is so gun hoe in becoming more transparent as they claim, OOPS, there’s that nasty word MORE, that they keep using; why don’t they just say, they are going to be TRANSPARENT in all of their dealings, both at HOME and ABROAD.

* Lobbyists would be less influential in the unicameral legislature because the lawmaking process would be more public;

* In a unicameral system, it’s easier to achieve better cooperation.

* A unicameral system is more economical;

* A unicameral system provides a greater responsibility to the legislators; and the

* Legislators would become more accountable to the public and their constituency, because their position is a matter of public record.

Advantages of Bicameral Legislature:

* A bicameral legislature provides for more careful and deliberate consideration of legislation. Action of the two houses required for passage, prevents bills from being quickly passed under the sway of emotion; Gene, There is no time limit, so I hope under a Unicameral Governing Body, every bill would be carefully scrutinized to its fullest and then acted on, then if nothing else works, they could always leave the state.

* Many of the charges of shifting responsibility are greatly exaggerated and ill-founded. A legislator who continually fails to accept responsibility would not be reelected; Gene, I believe any legislator should be, educated and ambition enough, to take on, any manner of their responsibilities, to its fullest.

* Objectionable lobbying is not the major problem in the bicameral legislature that is often assumed to be. Lobbyists can more easily promote desired legislation where control is needed in only one house;

* Although bicameral state legislatures are not perfect, it would be easier to correct their flaws than to change their structure; Gene, I believe by changing the structure, would correct their flaws, once and for all.

* Further consideration of legislation by another duty-elected body would assure more thoughtful action in passing bills; Gene, that’s hog wash, if you are savvy in politics, and take the time to: review, talk over, while keeping an open mind and changed if necessary, bills can be passed in a thoughtful and timely manner.

CHANGING OUR TWO PARTY SYSTEM

1. Changing our two party system to a unicameral governing body. As you familiarize yourself with the Constitution, you will find, the way we are living fits the criteria, that was penned and adopted by our forefathers in 1776, now it becomes the Right of the AMERICAN PEOPLE to: EITHER ALTER or ABOLISH OUR GOVERNMENT and CREATE A NEW GOVERNING BODY, THIS IS OUR RIGHT AS CITIZENS OF THESE UNITED STATES

2. Eliminating the Senate on all State and Federal Levels, and by reducing the size of the House, although, I must clarify one thing, “this doesn’t mean the Senate can’t merge withthe House”, only their title would change, to: The United States House of Representatives and the State would be: The Maine State House of Representatives.

3. To eliminate the Electoral College and return to the original idea, ONE PERSON, ONE VOTE, by this one action we would be voting directly for the candidate or candidates of our choice with no strings attached; this would also help to eliminate, having the STATES with the MOST ELECTORAL VOTES, FROM CONTROLING OUR GOVERNMENT.

4. If the United States insists on sticking their nose into foreign affairs, lets at least form a committee of: HIGHLY TRAINED, BILINGUAL MEN and WOMEN with backgrounds in: Psychology, Engineering, Medical, Government and Sociology, that would: consider going to a foreign country, in the time of crisis; that would work with all parties involved; working under a strict set of guidelines; remain neutral at all times; making no derogatory remarks or pledging money, to either side; with no interference in their Government or their Religion; when done, this committee would return to the United States; where they would present their report to both the President and Congress; then decide the proper steps to take. IF OUR DIPLOMACY DOESN’T WORK, THEN THIS MATTER SHOULD BE TURNED OVER TO THE UNITED NATIONS. I FIRMLY BELIEVE ALL OF THE EXISTING COUNTRIES, SHOULD BE PART OF THE UNITED NATIONS, SO THEIR VOICES CAN BE HEARD, NO MATTER THE SIZE OF THE COUNRTY OR THEIR BELIEFS.

On May 1, 2011, the News flashed all across America and abroad, Asama bin Laden Killed. Obama said, “Justice has been Done”, but the fight is far from over by any means, and I have to wonder how many more lives are going to be lost; by this one action alone, will not only peak the terrorist’s resolve to fight on, while the question remains, where and for how long; I PERSONALLY SEE NO END IN SIGHT and I believe its about time to declare a Diplomatic Amnesty, bringing all waring parties together.

WE NEED TO USE DIPLOMACY AT ALL COST TO STOP THIS DAM KILLING

My tip for the day: I take Omega 3 Fish Oil, 1000mg per soft gel. If you have ever taken fish oil, you will know exactly what I mean, when I say, fish oil can sometimes leave a terrible after taste in your mouth; but the answer is SIMPLE, put them in the FREEZE.
